Brittany Murphy Dies At 32
Brittany Murphy, who gained fame from movies such as "8 Mile" and "Just Married" before giving voice to popular animated characters, has died at age 32. The Los Angeles County coroner's office said her death at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center appeared to be from natural causes but police were investigating.
Murphy was transported to the hospital after the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call at 8 a.m. at the home she shared with her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, in the Hollywood Hills. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said Murphy apparently collapsed in the bathroom, and authorities were looking into her medical history.

An official cause of death may not be determined for some time, since toxicology tests will be required, but "it appears to be natural," Winter said.

Kate Hudson's Lonely New Year
Hollywood star Kate Hudson was forced to celebrate a lonely New Year's eve as her plans had been ruined following her split from Alex Rodriguez. The actress and the baseball star, who ended their seven-month relationship earlier this month, had planned to usher in 2010 by attending a host of parties in Miami, Florida. However, Kate cancelled her involvement. "They were both scheduled to appear together at several bashes. Obviously that did not happen - she cancelled," a source said. Friends of Kate have also claimed she had trouble trusting Alex.
"Kate has some trust issues with A-Rod. She doesn't know for sure if there is another woman, but there's a girl she thinks he has a crush on. She's been worrying about other women for a while and is definitely the jealous type," a friend of the actress said.

I'm An Embarrassment: Mischa Barton

Barton said she is so clumsy she would make a terrible date and that her awkward antics attract unwanted attention from the paparazzi.
"I'm ridiculously clumsy, you'd never want to date me, I'm an embarrassment. I wouldn't even know where to start telling you the things I've walked into. I think that's why the photographers love me, I'm constantly bruising myself or grazing my knees," she said. Despite admitting she is clumsy, the 23-year-old who has dated a string of famous men, including singers Luke Pritchard and Johnny Borrell insists none have ever ditched her. "I've never been dumped.”

Sandra Bullock Voted 'Entertainer Of The Year'
The 45-year-old actress nominated in both the Drama and Comedy or Musical fields for 'The Blind Side' and 'The Proposal', has beaten the star cast of vampire series True Blood to grab the top spot on a magazine’s 'Entertainers of the Year' list.
The small screen's favourite vampires are followed by controversial singer Lady Gaga, famed for her outrageous outfits who came third on the list. Apart from the above, other Hollywood A-listers making it to the list included country singer Taylor Swift, actor Alec Baldwin, veteran actress Meryl Streep, Ryan Reynolds, 'American Idol' star Adam Lambert and filmmaker James Cameron

BEAUTY Cool As A Cucumber

Use cucumber and its innumerable benefits for beautiful skin, inside out.

Cucumbers have always been associated with cooling properties, but do you know why the green fruit-cum-veggie is famous for it? With 90 per cent water content, cucumber is primarily a water body and its internal temperature is about 20 degrees cooler then the air temperature. Little wonder then that its natural refrigerating and refreshing effects have found a way into face washes, creams, scrubs and under-eye gels.
The cucumber plant was a popular skincare ingredient even in ancient times. Its thinly cut slices have been used as natural eye pads to soothe tiredness and puffiness and its juice blended with other kitchen-cupboard ingredients for cost-effective face masks and toners.

Eye Soother
Calm and condition the delicate skin around your eyes with cucumber as it helps in reducing dark circles. The most clichéd, but also the most effective stress-buster, this is especially comforting after late-night parties or a busy week at work spent in front of a computer screen. You will feel the tiredness in your eyes being washed away by the moist cucumber in a matter of minutes.

Skin Food
Cucumber contains vitamin C and caffeic acid, both of which soothe skin irritations. Its hard skin is rich in fibre and a variety of minerals, including silica, potassium and magnesium, all of which are excellent for your complexion’s health. “It astringent quality is best suitable for oily and combination skin and it also protects the skin from sunburn.

Home Recipe
Blend cucumber juice with lemon for toning and with tomato juice for cleansing oily skin. Cooling and toning are cucumber’s twin benefits. For dry skin, blend grated cucumber with a paste of ripe banana, but make sure to use only organic cucumber for all your beauty treatments.
Buy dark green cucumbers with a bumpy surface, as they are most fresh and cool.

All Things Nice BEAUTY Skin Tight

Keep your young teenager’s skin youthful and free of blemishes with these simply, easy-to-follow tips.

Flawless skin, zero wrinkles, the ability to experiment with make-up are all part and parcel of youthful skin – the kind you wear with pride from the time you turn a teenager to when you hit your late 20s. But they too come with their own set of baggage. Easy susceptibility to zits and pimples and a face that suddenly develops a mind of its own, oily one day and dry as a bone the next. So what does a teenager do? Here’s how to make sure your skin always stays flawless:

The Essential Must-Knows For Flawless Skin
1. Hygiene is of utmost importance. If the hormonal changes have caused the skin to be sensitive, use cleanser. Do not rub the skin hard. Wash it often enough only to remove excess oil. Otherwise you are unnecessarily over-drying the skin and may change its pH. Lowering the pH can make the skin sensitive and also more vulnerable to infection.
2. Use a thick coat of a suitable sunscreen at least 2-3 times a day regardless of its PSF (sun protection factor).
3. If you have oily skin, use an oil free day-time moisturiser that has an SPF 15. Exposure to sun can lead to discolouration and acne.
4. It’s important to keep your skin clean with a suitable face wash.
5. Remember to use a good oil free sunscreen on face and neck, 2-3 times a day.
6. Dandruff is most definitely your biggest enemy. So use an anti-dandruff shampoo at least once a week.
7. By the time you hit your late teens, start using eye creams and lip balms with SPF. If you are the outdoorsy sporty type then always remember to rub on some oil-free sunscreen or sunblock with SPF 30 when heading out.
8. Remember if you are prone to acne, oily products are an absolute no-no. Stay away from the hair spray and gel. They have oils that are the reason you break out on the forehead or around your hairline. But if you absolutely need that perfect hairspray then try keeping them away from your face. Cover your face with a towel when you’re spraying on the hair spray.
9. Use a face mask or a gentle exfoliator once a week to remove dead skin. These are treatments and not just cleansers so ensure that you use them on clean, damp skin.
10. If your skin tends to break out easily and often then avoid tight caps or bandanas on your head. Wear loose shirts and stay away from tight outfits that don’t allow your skin to breathe.
11. And this is definitely a no-no. Stop squeezing or pressing the pimples. This could scar the surrounding normal tissue too.
12. Don’t wash your face too often. It can cause skin irritation.
